Communicating in High School

Having trouble communicating in high school? Well at least you ain't the only one. I've never really had that trouble until I attended Santa Maria High. You get many perspective when you stay quiet and think. I attended a court school in eighth grade at Vista CA didn't get out until my sophomore year. Moving to Santa Maria High had a dramatic impact on me. Coming from a thirty student school to over 1000 students you can see a difference there. Could it be that or is it because I am not open enough or just shy?

  1. I believe you have to open yourself more and not be afraid to take a chance and meeting new people. Knowing people can be positive because you will have more connects.

  3. Juan, it certainly must of been a challenge to go from a 30 student school to a heavily populated school such as SMHS. The good thing is that communication can simply begin with one contact, so the "one-at-a-time" line can work, especially because gaining trusting friendships can only occur one at a time! Thanks for asking a question at the end of your post, that keeps the dialog going.

  4. I think its both that you are shy and the sudden change. I myself am not shy at all and high school for me has been good because i interact with many friends. I think you should get to meet more people and you should interact more.
